DIRECTIONS TO BIG BEAR LAKE
From the Los Angeles area
Take I-10 East to CA-210 West toward JCT/CA-330/Highland. Merge onto CA-330 North (toward Mtn. Resorts). CA-330 North becomes CA-18/Rim of the World Hwy. Turn RIGHT across the dam toward the City of Big Bear Lake.
From LAX
Take I-105 East to I-605 North to I-210 East. Merge onto CA-330 North (toward Mtn Resorts). CA-330 North becomes CA-18/Rim of the World Hwy. Turn RIGHT across the dam toward the City of Big Bear Lake.
From Orange County or the South Bay area
Take CA-91 East (or CA-55 North to CA-91 East). CA-91 East becomes I-215 North. Merge onto I-10 East toward Redlands. Merge onto CA-210 West toward JCT/CA-330/Highland. Merge onto CA-330 North toward Mtn. Resorts. CA-330 North becomes CA-18/Rim of the World Hwy. Turn RIGHT across the dam toward the City of Big Bear Lake.
From the San Diego area
Take I-15 North to I-215 North. Merge onto I-10 East toward Redlands. Merge onto CA-210 West toward JCT/CA-330/Highland. Merge onto CA-330 North toward Mtn. Resorts. CA-330 North becomes CA-18/Rim of the World Hwy. Turn RIGHT across the dam toward the City of Big Bear Lake.
From the San Fernando Valley area
Take US-101 South to CA-134 East (toward Burbank/Glendale). CA-134 East becomes I-210 East. Merge onto CA-330 North (toward Mtn Resorts). CA-330 North becomes CA-18/Rim of the World Hwy. Turn RIGHT across the dam toward the City of Big Bear Lake.
From the Las Vegas area
Take I-15 South. Exit Barstow Rd/CA-247 south toward Lucerne Valley. Travel approximately 35 miles to CA-18 turn LEFT. This leads up the mountain to the Big Bear Valley approximately 20 miles. Stay straight onto CA-38/North Shore Drive. Turn LEFT on Stanfield Cutoff (you will cross the lake) then RIGHT on Big Bear Blvd (CA-18) to take you into the City of Big Bear Lake.
From the Palm Springs area
Take I-10 West to CA-210 West. Merge onto CA-330 North toward Mtn. Resorts. CA-330 North becomes CA-18/Rim of the World Hwy. Turn RIGHT across the dam toward the City of Big Bear Lake.
ALTERNATE (SCENIC) ROUTE INTO BIG BEAR VALLEY
Take I-10 East. In Redlands Exit Orange St. turn LEFT. Turn RIGHT on E Lugonia Ave/ CA-38. Follow CA-38 through Mentone toward Big Bear City. It is approximately 45 miles to the peak of Onyx Summit. From there it is about 8 miles to a sharp left turn at the intersection of CA-38/Shay Rd. and Greenspot. Continue LEFT. At the second stoplight, Greenway Drive, continue straight onto Big Bear Blvd. which is now CA-18 toward the City of Big Bear Lake.
